FALL RIVER, Mass. — A Fall River dentist has entered the race for the state's redrawn 4th congressional district.
Republican Dr. David Steinhof says on his website he is running because in the course of his work he has witnessed "first-hand the devastating effect this economy and the lack of jobs" have had on his patients and their families, and he understands the challenges of running a small business.

He says he is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and his beliefs are guided by the Constitution.
The other Republicans in the race are former state mental health commissioner Elizabeth Childs and Sean Bielat (BEE'-lat)
The Democrats are Joseph Kennedy III and engineer Herb Robinson.
They are all vying to replace retiring Democrat Barney Frank.
