LINCOLN, Nebraska — A western Nebraska man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg announced Friday that 52-year-old Ralph Moreno, of Gering, was sentenced in Lincoln's federal court.

Investigators say that last fall, videos of child pornography were downloaded from Moreno's computer, and a review of his computer revealed more than 200 child pornography videos collected over a five-year period. Authorities say the videos depicted children between the ages of 6 and 12 engaged in sex acts.

There is no parole in the federal prison system. Moreno must register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.
