UND men's hockey team No. 4 in first preseason poll; team plays exhibition game Saturday

GRAND FORKS, North Dakota — The University of North Dakota men's hockey team is ranked in the Top Five of the first preseason poll of the year.

UND is No. 4 in the poll released Monday, and received one first-place vote. Boston College tops the poll, followed by Minnesota-Duluth and Boston University.

UND last season made its seventh NCAA Frozen Four appearance in 11 years, losing to Boston in the semifinals. First-year coach Brad Berry's roster has 16 returning letterwinners and 10 incoming freshmen.

The team hosts the University of Manitoba in an exhibition game Saturday in Ralph Engelstad Arena.
