Anonymous donor gives $10M to Louisiana College after $5M donor says he won't give any more

PINEVILLE, Louisiana — Less than a week after a $5 million donor said he has stopped giving to Louisiana College, the private Baptist school has announced what President Joe Aguillard says is its biggest donation ever.

The Town Talk (http://townta.lk/13NRpBf ) reports that a news release says the anonymous donors gave $10 million to show their trust in Aguillard's leadership.

Aguillard says an attorney told the Board of Trustees about the gift during the day-long meeting on Tuesday during which the trustees voted to keep him as president. Aguillard says he knew about the donation before the meeting.

Last week, Edgar Cason said his Cason Foundation won't give any more money to Louisiana College because Aguillard spent nearly $60,000 given to its divinity school on projects in the African country of Tanzania.
