WOBURN, Massachusetts — A former pediatric dentist who had an office in Framingham has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

Melvin Ehrlich was also sentenced to three years of probation.

The MetroWest Daily News (http://bit.ly/16MAl5K ) reports that Ehrlich, of Millis, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child nudity.

The 54-year-old Ehrlich was arrested two years ago. Authorities say he took his computer to a store to be fixed and workers found several images they believed to be child pornography. They turned the computer over to police, who said they found 50 to 60 child pornography files.

Ehrlich was not accused of harming any patients.
