Anaheim Ducks address their scoring woes by recalling top prospect Nick Ritchie from the AHL

ANAHEIM, California — The Anaheim Ducks have recalled top prospect and center from the AHL.

The Ducks also assigned left wing and defenseman to their affiliate in San Diego on Saturday, and placed center on waivers.

Ritchie was the 10th overall pick in the 2014 draft. The 19-year-old power forward has nine goals in 12 games in San Diego to begin his first pro season.

Ritchie could make his NHL debut Monday at Carolina. The Ducks (5-8-4) desperately need more offense after scoring a league-low 29 goals in 17 games.

Sgarbossa has been Ritchie's center in San Diego.

Wagner is scoreless with 17 penalty minutes in 11 games for Anaheim. Friberg is scoreless in five games, and Holzer has one assist in seven games.
