Indianapolis police identify 2 shooting victims found dead in parking lot as city teens

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police say two people found fatally shot at an eastside parking lot have been identified as teenagers from the city.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department identified the victims as 18-year-old Robert Young and 16-year-old Deontae Butler. The pair was found fatally shot about 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives believe the victims knew their assailants and that this incident was not a random act. Police are urging anyone with information about the shootings to contact them.
