Semitrailers overturned on I-65, I-70 after storms with high winds pass through

COLUMBUS, Indiana — Storms packing high winds and heavy rains have overturned semitrailers and blown down trees in south Central and eastern Indiana.

The Republic reports a semitrailer was overturned on Interstate 65 south of the Columbus exit Monday afternoon after a brief thunderstorm passed through the area. Columbus police were responding to reports of trees falling on two cars.

Indiana State Police report two semitrailers were overturned in the median of I-70 about 50 miles east of Indianapolis after a storm with heavy rains and high winds passed through there.
