WASHINGTON — Metro says some riders will wait longer for trains this weekend.

Metro says red line trains between Shady Grove and Glenmont will run every 16 minutes. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, there will be trains every eight to 10 minutes between Friendship Heights and Silver Spring.

Yellow and green line trains will run every 15 minutes, but the Greenbelt station will be closed.

Trains on the silver and blue lines will operate at regular weekend intervals except at Largo Town Center, Morgan Boulevard, Addison Road, Capitol Heights and Benning Road, where trains will arrive and depart about every 20 minutes.

There will be regular service on the orange line.
