Mass. man faces Sept. trial in death of woman in Dummerston

RUTLAND, Vermont — A federal judge has scheduled a three-week trial in September for a Massachusetts man accused of killing a woman as part of a drug deal in southern Vermont.

The Rutland Herald reports (http://bit.ly/17E9QNi) U.S. District Judge Christina Reiss has scheduled trial dates from Sept. 9 to Sept. 27 for 31-year-old Frank Caraballo, of Holyoke, Massachusetts

Caraballo has pleaded not guilty to charges he killed 31-year-old Melissa Barratt in a wooded section of Dummerston as part of a drug deal in July 2011.
