PENOBSCOT, Maine — Maine utility officials say about 7,500 customers are without power in the greater Penobscot area due to a broken insulator.

Crews are at work in Blue Hill, Brooklin, Sedgewick, Brooksville, Winter Harbor, Surry and Penobscot.
