TUCSON, Arizona — A Tucson Police Department spokesman says a man was shot and wounded by at least one police officer during a traffic stop on a midtown street.

Sgt. Pete Dugan says the condition of the man who was shot Wednesday morning isn't immediately available and that information on what led up to the shooting is sketchy.

Because of the shooting and the subsequent investigation, East Glenn Avenue is closed to traffic between Country Club Road and North Treat Avenue.
