Police: Man robs gas station in Laurel area; no indication he was armed


LAUREL, Delaware — State police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station in the Laurel area.

The robbery occurred shortly after 8 p.m. Friday at an Exxon station on Sussex Highway. Police say the man came inside the convenience store and confronted a female employee, demanding cash. The woman handed over some cash and the man ran out the back door before driving away.

Police say there's no indication that the man was armed. The employee wasn't injured.

Images of the man were captured on surveillance cameras.
