Police in Grand Forks identify man whose body was found in Red River during search Monday

GRAND FORKS, North Dakota — Authorities have identified the man whose body was found in the Red River near downtown Grand Forks Monday night.

The Grand Forks Police Department on Tuesday said the body is that of 25-year-old Aaron Pigeon of Badger, Minnesota. The body was found hours after authorities began searching the river for Pigeon, who was last seen leaving the Level 10 Bar in Grand Forks Saturday night.

Authorities launched a search of the Red River and nearby riverbanks Monday afternoon. They also conducted an extensive search and neighborhood canvas.
