MACON, Georgia — Langston Hall paced the hot-shooting Mercer with a 25-point effort as the Bears mauled Northern Kentucky, 89-67 Sunday.
Mercer (21-6, 12-2 Atlantic Sun) maintained its lock on the top spot in the conference, one game ahead of Florida-Gulf Coast.
The Bears opened the game with a 15-2 run and never looked back, taking a 52-30 lead into intermission. Mercer used a 13-0 run early in the second half to put the game away.
Tyler White scored 16 points off the bench to lead Northern Kentucky (8-19, 4-11), with Daniel Camps adding 14. The Norse shot 43 percent from the field (23 of 53) and were 8 of 21 from behind the arc, but were outrebounded 34-24.
