PORTLAND, Maine — A Sanborn man who emailed sexually explicit videos of children to an undercover federal agent has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Richard Moulton Jr. was also sentenced Thursday in U.S. District Court in Portland to 10 years of probation.

The 31-year-old Sanford pleaded guilty in May to a charge of transporting child pornography.

Prosecutors say the 30-year-old Moulton was arrested following a Feb. 28 email exchange in which he sent an agent for Homeland Security Investigations four videos. Prosecutors say each video depicted a child or children between the ages of 4 and 12 engaged in sex acts.

Prosecutors say Moulton frequently used his email account to solicit child pornography from others and to send child pornography videos and images.
