Michael German throws 6 TDs, runs for another to lead Tennessee St past Murray St, 48-33

MURRAY, Kentucky — Michael German threw for 463 yards and six touchdowns and ran for another score to lead Tennessee State to 48-33 win over Murray State on Saturday.

Three of German's touchdown passes went Ryan Mitchell, who hauled in strikes of 72, 59, and 15 yards. Mitchell finished with 10 catches for 231 yards. Weldon Garlington added four catches for 84 yards for Tennessee State (6-6, 3-5 Ohio Valley Conference),

KD Humphries finished with 467 yards passing and five touchdowns for Murray State, but was plagued by three interceptions. Janawski Davis added eight catches for 101 yards and two TD's for the Racers (3-9, 1-7).

The two teams combined for over 1,100 total yards and 57 first downs. The Tigers scored the first 20 points of the game and took a 34-7 lead into halftime.
