LOS ANGELES — A Los Angeles County man charged with stabbing his grandmother to death has pleaded not guilty to murder.

City News Service says 23-year-old Armando Sepulveda entered the plea Wednesday. He's jailed on $1 million bail and could face life in prison if convicted.

Prosecutors say Sepulveda killed his 59-year-old grandmother, Anna Sepulveda, in the East Los Angeles home they shared.

Authorities say her body was found in the kitchen on Monday after she failed to show up for work at her daughter's business.
