Man shot multiple times outside Syracuse bar that was scene of earlier fatal stabbing


SYRACUSE, New York — A 26-year-old Syracuse man is in critical but stable condition after he was shot outside a Syracuse nightclub.

The Post-Standard reports ( ) that Adair Newman was part of a large crowd outside Club Gravity at 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

Police say a gunman walked up to the crowd and opened fire.

Newman was hit multiple times. He underwent emergency surgery at Upstate University Hospital.

The bar on Milton Avenue has been the scene of other violent attacks. On June 7, 29-year-old Bryan Sheppard was stabbed to death outside Club Gravity.
