2 men killed after pickup truck runs off road and hits utility pole in northeast Pennsylvania


WILKES-BARRE, Pennsylvania — State police say a pickup truck ran off the road and hit a utility pole in northeastern Pennsylvania, killing the driver and passenger.

WNEP-TV reports ( ) the double fatal crash happened in West Wyoming, near Wilkes-Barre, early Saturday morning.

Authorities say the accident killed 39-year-old Francis Rutledge of West Pittston and 36-year-old John D. Soska of Wyoming.

Police have not identified the cause of the wreck.
