RAPID CITY, South Dakota — Police have identified a 46-year-old man who was found dead last week in a detox facility in Rapid City.

The Rapid City Police Department says Andrew Watts of Box Elder was found dead Thursday evening in the safe bed wing at the City-County Alcohol and Drug Program Detox facility.

The investigation into Watts' death has been turned over to the Rapid City Police Department and is ongoing.

Authorities say the beds in the safe bed wing are available to those who need a temporary place to stay in a warm, safe environment, but do not want to utilize the treatment services provided by detox.
