Medical marijuana organization to open cannabis dispensary in Dover, service 3 counties


DOVER, New Hampshire — A medical marijuana organization wants to open a cannabis dispensary in New Hampshire.

Foster's Daily Democrat reports ( ) Temescal Wellness has chosen to serve patients at an industrial park location off Crosby Road in Dover.

The nonprofit organization was selected by the Department of Health and Human Services to operate a cannabis Alternative Treatment Center, serving patients in Strafford, Rockingham and Belknap counties.

A recently approved ordinance requires Temescal to submit a detailed floor plan and security plans before the facility can open. No plans have yet been submitted to the Dover planning board.

Temescal plans to grow the cannabis at a location in Manchester. The organization is also planning to open a dispensary in Peterborough to serve patients in the southwestern part of the state.
