CLINTON, South Carolina — Jordan Downing scored 22 points, William Truss added 17 and 12 rebounds, and Presbyterian pulled away midway through the second half to beat NAIA Montreat 79-68 on Saturday.

In the final six minutes Montreat shot 5 of 7 from 3-point range, but the Blue Hose countered, shooting 6 of 8 from the floor to close out the game.

Austin Anderson added 14 points for Presbyterian (4-6), and finished with eight rebounds, six assists and four steals. Markus Terry had 12 points and Ed Drew chipped in 11.

Will Lewis led the Cavaliers with 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting and Foster chipped in 23.
