TRENTON, New Jersey — A weekend shooting at a Trenton apartment building has left one resident dead.

But Mercer County authorities say it's still not clear what sparked Saturday night's shooting at the Riverside Drive building.

Police received reports of shots fired there shortly before 10 p.m., and responding officers found 46-year-old Wilbur Thomas in the hallway outside of his second-floor apartment. He apparently was shot once, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

No arrests have been made.
