Police say 1 killed after car shot at; death marks Oklahoma City's 2nd homicide in 2015


OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City police say one man was shot and killed this week, marking the city's second homicide in 2015.

The Oklahoman ( ) reports the shooting happened Thursday night after witnesses say someone in a silver sports car shot at a red car at an Oklahoma City intersection. Police Lt. Kevin Barnes says the red car then crashed into a lot near the intersection.

Barnes says the gunshot victim was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Authorities didn't release any other information about the shooting on Thursday.
