WINOOSKI, Vermont — A Winooski woman has been sentenced to 30 months in prison on drug-related charges.

Federal prosecutors say 48-year-old Deirdre Hey was sentenced Tuesday for conspiracy to distribute heroin and crack cocaine and maintaining a residence for the distribution of controlled substances.

Court records say Hey was involved in the distribution of crack cocaine and heroin in the Burlington area from December 2013 to January 2014. Authorities say she and others used her home to package and distribute the drugs.

Court records also say Hey acquired firearms in exchange for drugs. She was arrested on May 9, 2014, and has been detained since then.
