Police: Man on NYC subway tracks struck and killed by train in Manhattan


NEW YORK — Authorities say a man has been struck and killed by a subway train in Manhattan.

Police say it happened at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday at the West 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue station.

The victim was struck by either a southbound C or E train and pronounced dead at the scene.

It wasn't immediately clear how he wound up on the tracks.
