Laconia barn fire damages $700,000 in landscaping equipment

LACONIA, New Hampshire — Fire officials say a fire that burned down a barn in Laconia, New Hampshire, has caused about $700,000 in damage.

A nearby pond helped firefighters keep the flames from spreading Sunday afternoon.

The barn contained equipment from a landscaping business.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
