NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey — A northern New Jersey man who allegedly drove the wrong way on the Garden State Parkway has been charged with causing a crash that left two people dead.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey announced Friday that 26-year-old Andrew Frazell of Newton has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide.

Investigators say Frazell was driving the wrong way on an entrance ramp to the Parkway in Woodbridge on Thursday night around 11 p.m. when he crashed his 2005 Jeep Liberty head-on into the other vehicle.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Frazell was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center on $300,000 bail. It wasn't immediately known if he had retained an attorney.
