AUSTIN, Texas — A Houston-area convicted felon on the Texas Department of Public Safety 10 Most Wanted list has been captured in Florida.

DPS on Tuesday announced 46-year-old Michael Thomas Osborn of Deer Park was caught at a motel in Lantana, Florida.

A tipster will received up to $7,500 for information leading to Osborn, who was captured Friday. Prosecutors say Osborn in June cut off an ankle monitor he was wearing after recently bonding out of jail on two counts of indecency with a child.

Osborn in 2000 was convicted in Montgomery County of aggravated assault against a public servant and unlawfully carrying a weapon. He was convicted later that year, in Brazoria (bruh-ZOH'-ree-uh) County, of possession with intent to promote child pornography and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
