Firefighters report 1 person killed, 1 injured in southwest Oklahoma City house fire

OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City firefighters report that a woman was killed and one person was injured in a house fire on the city's southwest side.

Battalion Chief Brian Stanaland told reporters that the fire was reported about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The names of the victim and the injured person were not immediately released.

Firefighters say it is not known how the fire started, but said it was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
