SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Police in Puerto Rico say a tourist from Vermont apparently died from alcohol intoxication during a popular four-day festival in historic Old San Juan.

Authorities identify the man as 35-year-old Han Spaulding of Isle La Motte, Vermont. Police said Friday that a prosecutor has ordered an autopsy.

Officials say the man was found unresponsive inside the bathroom of a bar and restaurant in Old San Juan on Thursday. That was the opening day of the annual San Sebastian festival, which features music, art and food.
