Man dies in all-terrain vehicle accident in Ulster County; flipped on incline

HIGH FALLS, New York — The Ulster County Sheriff's Office says a 68-year-old man has died in an all-terrain vehicle accident in High Falls.

The sheriff's office says the accident happened around 7 a.m. Sunday in a wooded area. Investigators determined that Bruce Turner of Stone Ridge was riding his Yamaha Grizzly 350 on a wooded trail and tried to traverse an incline. The ATV flipped over and Turner was pinned beneath it.

Deputies found Turner unconscious and unresponsive. They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation until emergency medical personnel arrived and took over.

Turner was transported to a Kingston hospital where he later died of his injuries.
