Thomas scores 19, 15 in final 6-1/2 minutes, as Bucknell roars past Lehigh in 68-62 stunner

LEWISBURG, Pennsylvania — With Bucknell trailing 50-34, Chris Hass began the biggest comeback of the season for the Bison with a pair of foul shots with just under nine minutes remaining.

In the final stretch, the Bison scored 34 points — as many as they'd scored in the game to that point — roaring past Lehigh for a 68-62 win Wednesday night.

Freshman Zach Thomas scored 12 straight during the rally and had 15 of his 19 points during the final 6:27. Hass finished with 13 as Bucknell (12-10, 7-2 Patriot League) closed on a 34-12 run to win its fifth straight.

Kahron Ross scored 18 points with four assists for Lehigh (10-10, 4-5), Justin Goldsborough scored 14.

The Hass free throws started a 9-3 flurry. After Bucknell closed to 57-52, Thomas hit his 12-point run with three 3-pointers and a three-point play, ending with Bucknell ahead 64-60 and 1:27 left.

Bucknell moved into first in the Patriot League.
