Police: Father arrested after 4-year-old son shot in shoulder in Cleveland

CLEVELAND — Police have arrested a Cleveland man who they believe may have accidently shot his 4-year-old son.

Police say they were called to the house at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday after the boy's father told them that his son was shot in a drive-by.

The man then told police that a 5-year-old had accidently shot the boy. Authorities determined that the boy was shot inside the home, and police say they believe the father might have accidently shot him.

The man was arrested for endangering children and on weapons charges. He has not yet been identified.

The 4-year-old was taken to a children's hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
