Suarez returns from 4-month biting ban to start for Barcelona at rival Madrid

MADRID — Luis Suarez will start in his debut for Barcelona at Real Madrid on Saturday after completing his four-month ban for biting an opponent at the World Cup.

Despite being limited to four friendlies since then, coach Luis Enrique gave Suarez a spot in his starting 11 alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar in Barcelona's attack.

Suarez was banned for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini in June and will make his debut for Barcelona hours after his hefty suspension from club play finished.

That was the third multi-game ban the Uruguay forward has received for biting, having also been punished for sinking his teeth into rivals while playing for former clubs Ajax and Liverpool.

Barcelona is aiming to maintain its lead of the Spanish league and increase its four-point advantage over Madrid.
