TRENTON, New Jersey — Motorists are seeing stable prices at the pumps in New Jersey.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the state on Thursday was $3.57, the same price as last week. But that's still higher than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.35.

The national average price was $3.67, down a penny from last week. But that's still more than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.48.

Analysts say concerns about political tensions and violence in Iraq appear to be easing, leading to lower crude oil prices and stable pump prices.
