NEW YORK — Police say a livery cab has hit and killed a bicyclist in East Harlem, and the cab driver has been arrested.

The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. Monday at Park Avenue and East 108th Street. The New York Police Department says 25-year-old Jerrison Garcia and the cab were both heading south on Park Avenue when the cab made a left turn and hit Garcia.

He was dead on arrival at a hospital. No one else was injured.

Police say cabbie Nojeem Odunfa's license had been suspended, and he was arrested on unlicensed-driving charges.

It's not immediately clear whether the 65-year-old driver has a lawyer. No phone number for his Bronx home could immediately be found.
