Police say 2 teenagers have been wounded in an officer-involved shooting in north Phoenix

PHOENIX — Police say two teenagers have been wounded in an officer-involved shooting at a north Phoenix home.

They say an armed boy showed up a girl's home late Tuesday afternoon near 44th Street and Trailblazer.

The girl told police she knows the boy and is fearful of him and called 911.

Police say the teenage boy apparently was trying to get into the home and he was shot while he fired his own gun.

Police say the girl was inside the front door and was wounded by a bullet from the boy's gun.

She's reported to be in stable condition at a hospital with the boy in serious condition.

Police say they are withholding the names of teenagers because they're juveniles.

They say no police officers were injured in the shooting.
