Fire at midtown Tulsa apartment complex damages 6 units, leaves 12 people displaced


TULSA, Oklahoma — Firefighters say a dozen people have been displaced after a fire broke out Thursday morning at a Tulsa apartment complex.

Fire Capt. Stan May says the fire was reported at about 5 a.m. at the Leisure Manor in midtown Tulsa. May says firefighters saw flames shooting from the second floor of the complex but were able to escort everyone out of the building safely.

The Tulsa World reports ( ) that about six units were affected by smoke, water or fire damage. No injuries were reported.

The Tulsa chapter of the American Red Cross is providing assistance to the affected residents.
