Pair arrested for drugs after they were pulled over by police for allegedly stealing headbands

RAPID CITY, South Dakota — Two Rapid City residents pulled over by police for suspicion of stealing a couple of headbands were caught with drugs in their car during the arrest.

The Rapid City Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1uZ0JCg) that 37-year-old Wanda Fields-Brouse, of Rapid City, and 32-year-old Coy Reinhard, of Fort Pierre, were arrested after leaving a sporting goods store.

The officer who pulled them over noticed the headbands and the drugs, including methamphetamine, in the car.

Fields-Brouse is charged with ingestion of a controlled substance, possession, open container, marijuana possession, theft and an outstanding warrant. Reinhard was arrested for ingestion of a controlled substance, possession, open container, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.

Court documents do not list lawyers for the defendants.
