7 students, 1 adult injured in wreck involving 2 Chesterfield school buses and car

CHESTERFIELD, Virginia — Police say seven students and an adult suffered minor injuries in a collision involving two Chesterfield County school buses and a car.

Chesterfield County police tell media outlets that one of the buses rear-ended the car around 8:30 a.m. Monday after the car slowed for a traffic light. Another bus then rear-ended the first bus.

Seven Meadowbrook High School students and the car's driver were taken to Chippenham Hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
