PHOENIX — Northbound traffic on Interstate 17 is backed up at least a mile because of a closure following an outskirts on the Phoenix area's northern outskirts.
The Arizona Department of Transportation says the closure due to the accident at Anthem Way is expected to be lengthy and that drivers should consider delaying travel or using State Route 87 as an alternate route.
The Department of Public Safety says the accident was a one-vehicle rollover and that two people were injured and taken to hospitals.
Southbound I-17 remains open.
