AURORA, Colorado — Police say a man died at a hospital after he was hit by a pickup truck while trying to cross a busy street in Aurora.

Lt. Jeff Turner says the man, whose name and age have not been released, was hit on East Colfax Avenue near Boston Street just before 6 p.m. Friday. He died about two hours later.

Investigators do not believe excessive speed or intoxication on the driver's part played a role in the crash. No charges are expected.
