CHEYENNE, Wyoming — A Laramie child care provider has pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated child abuse alleging that she injured an 8-month-old boy she was caring for.

The Laramie Boomerang reports (http://bit.ly/13omBvY ) that 36-year-old Mishawnna Jennings entered the plea Friday at her District Court arraignment.

Jennings was arrested Nov. 5.

Court documents say the boy was flown to Denver Children's Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, where he was treated for swelling and bleeding around his brain.

Court documents say Jennings told police she became frustrated with the boy at her West Laramie day care because he wouldn't stop crying. She told police she dropped the boy in a bassinet and that he might have hit his head on its metal bars.
