NEW YORK — New York City police say a brother and sister, both four years old, are dead and another four-year-old sibling is hospitalized following a late night fire in Queens.

The NYPD says officers responded to the home on Bay 30th Street in Far Rockaway shortly before midnight Saturday. After firefighters put the blaze out, police say a four-year-old boy and girl, were taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival. Police have identified the boy as Jai'Launi Tinglin and the girl as Ayini Tinglin.

Their four-year-old sister is hospitalized in stable condition at St. John's. A 55-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were taken to other area hospitals, where police say they're listed in stable condition.

An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
