Mink Shoals man accused of killing sister pleads not guilty, trial set for April 27


CHARLESTON, West Virginia — A Mink Shoals man has pleaded not guilty to charges of killing his sister and wounding his teenage nephew.

Media outlets report that 40-year-old Glenn Skidmore entered his plea during an arraignment on Thursday. His trial is scheduled for April 27 in Kanawha County Circuit Court.

Skidmore is charged with murder, attempted murder, malicious wounding, grand larceny and fraud.

Prosecutors say Skidmore fatally shot his sister, 35-year-old Michelle Lee Skidmore of Mink Shoals, on Dec. 29. Skidmore also is accused of shooting and wounding his sister's son, 17-year-old Jonathan Skidmore. The teenager is recovering at a Charleston hospital.
