MURRAY, Kentucky — Jarvis Williams scored 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Murray State to an 82-72 win over SIU-Edwardsville on Thursday night.
Cameron Payne added 17 points, Jeffery Moss had 15 and T.J. Sapp 14 for Murray State (15-9, 10-2 Ohio Valley Conference), which shot 55 percent from the field in avenging last month's loss to Edwardsville.
With the score tied at 33 late in the first period, the Racers took control with a 13-2 run that included a 3-pointer and layup from Moss to close out the half. Murray State never trailed after the break.
Edwardsville (10-16, 6-6) led by as many eight points early in the first half on a Rozell Nunn layup that made it 14-6, but couldn't contain Murray State down the stretch.
