MANATEE, Florida — A man has been sentenced to life in prison for a Tampa Bay area fatal shooting.

A Manatee County judge sentenced Ronnie Bundrage Jr. on Friday. He was convicted in May of first-degree murder and two counts of armed burglary.

Authorities say Bundrage killed Juan Medina outside his Bradenton home in October 2013. Medina and a friend were hanging out in his driveway hours after hosting a birthday party for Medina's daughter when the two men were attacked. The friend testified that he was pistol-whipped right before Medina was shot.

The Bradenton Herald (http://goo.gl/sg4dl1) reports that Bundrage also received 30 years in prison for each of the armed burglary convictions, to run concurrently with his life sentence.
