ST. LOUIS — A circuit judge has sentenced a former pastor of a St. Peters church to seven years in prison after he pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1EtRLgJ ) reports 36-year-old Matthew Luetke was sentenced Wednesday. At his hearing, he made a short statement and said he was sorry for what he did.

He originally was charged with promoting child pornography, but under a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge.

Detectives had raided Luetke's computer last March and found images of young girls on his computer.

Luetke had been a pastor at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church for about a year before his arrest. He previously worked at churches in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
